‘Matki Phod’ Celebration held at KDMA International

Janmashtami is celebrated as the birthday of Lord Krishna, one of the most powerful and famous reincarnations of Lord Vishnu. To seek the blessings of Lord Krishna, the KDMA family celebrated Janmashtami with all passion and enthusiasm on August 23, 2019 during the special assembly at Bharat Hall. Students of classes PG to V were assembled in the hall to witness the celebration. Beautiful decorations were put up to make this event more cheerful and colourful.

Students of class-V gave a speech on the importance of Janmashtami.

To celebrate the extraordinary bond between the children and the Almighty, a melodious song “Achyutam Keshavam Krishna Narayanam” was sung by the students.

‘Matki Phod’ a sportive event of Maharashtra & Gujrat was also organized to mark the mischievous nature of ‘Bal Gopal.’ A boy was dressed up as Lord Krishna who smashed the Matki and children rushed for gathering the sweets falling from it.

The Principal of the school, Ms. Priyanka Saigal blessed all the students on this auspicious day and gave them a message as always, looking ahead instead of reminiscing in the past. Her words truly summed up the efficacy of celebrating festivals of devotion and obedience towards their parents and teachers.
